Eligibility guidelines.

Each artist can submit up to 3 songs/works per category on this website beginning on November 9th, 2018.  Entries close on November 1, 2019. (www.peacesongawards.org). New original Music, Spoken-Word Poetry, and Music Video creativity produced after 1.1.16. Entry fee starts at $30.

2019 official Song / Music Video award Rules and Regulations (R&R)

Contestants understand and agree to the following rules. Void where prohibited.

A: Overview: The Peace Song Awards (PSA) (recently now rebranded from the Global Peace Song Awards (GPSA)).

The contest will be held as per the below schedule:

  • November 9, 2018 (8 am PST) the contest officially begins
    • SPECIAL NOTE:  We are only accepting original Music, Spoken-Word Poetry and/or Music video works that were originated after the date of January 1, 2016.  Any and all other entries will not be accepted and be subject to $10 handling/refund fee per entry.
    • Music Videos requirements:  All use of footage must be legally licensed. No slide show type videos will be accepted.
  • November 1, 2019 -  (5 pm PST) contest entries close.
  • February 14, 2020 (Valentines Day) the official winners are announced.

B: Who can participate and submit?

The contest is open to individuals on a worldwide basis. There are no age, language and/or geographical limitations. Individuals who submit to the Peace Song Awards (PSA) are defined as Contestants. A Contestant is defined, per this contest, as a Singer/Songwriter/Band member, Spoken-Word Poet or Band (hereafter know as “Contestant or TALENT”) who have created an original musical work.

A “Designated Representative” is a person who represents the TALENT and has permission submit on behalf of the TALENT or CONTESTANT.

  • SPECIAL NOTE:  We are only accepting original music and/or video works that have been originated after the date of January 1, 2016.  Any and all other entries will not be accepted and be subject to $10 handling/refund fee per entry.

C: Terms of your submittal

All contestants agree to allow the PSA to use their name and/or likeness respective to any and all materials required to promote and/or produce the PSA and/or related prizes associated with it (please see more details below). All travel costs and expenses associated with the contest and/or prize-winnings are “Not Included” and will be the responsibility of the CONTESTANT unless otherwise stated or specified. All parties who submit, under any circumstance and/or scenario, agree to comply with the “Official Rules and Regulations” (ORR) of the PSA.

D: Submittals from contestants under the age of 18 years

In order for an Individual(s), who is under the age of 18 (a person defined as a minor) to enter/submit to the contest, they must email the following permission/acknowledgment from a Parent and/or officially designated guardian.

E: Video submissions

Respective to video submissions, it is the sole responsibility of the Contestant and/or Designated Representative to abide by all policies of Web-based video distribution platforms (including, but not limited to any terms of service, community guidelines and privacy policies). Content may not include any advertising content.

  • All use of footage must be legally licensed.
  • No slide show type videos will be accepted.

F: Compliance with all song and video content

Relative to all song and/or video content: All content is intended to promote the message of inner and world peace. Any content that is deemed to be sexually suggestive, obscene or derogatory in any way, or contains copyrighted or trademarked materials and/or logos not owned by the Contestant, will be determined not to comply with the PSA “R&R” and will be disqualified with no refund. The PSA Administrator reserves the rights, at their sole discretion, to withhold and not post certain entries that might be deemed disqualified.

G: Submission overview

H: Copyright and Ownership

You retain all rights to your songs and videos when you submit. The Winner and 10 Nominees of each song category may be featured on a PSA album. Additional licensing opportunities to participate in a sound library will be offered.

We strongly recommend and encourage you to copyright all of your songs in order to properly protect your original creative works.

I: Entry fees

  • $30 for one song, spoken-word poem and/or video
  • $50 for two songs, spoken-word poem and/or video
  • $70 for three songs, spoken-word poem and/or video

J: Detailed submission and eligibility guidelines

There are three (3) ways a Contestant can submit and win:

  • Jury Panel Submittal (10 song categories, 1 spoken word, and 1 music video)
  • Public Voting Submittal (10 song categories,  1 spoken word, and 1 music video)
  • Facebook Social Media winners 1) One category for most “likes” 2) One category for most “reached”

K: Submittal categories

  1. New Age/ Ambient / Kirtan (Ambient Songs, Vocals or Instrumental in New Age style)
  2. World Music/ World Beat (Songs or Instrumental, Non-western forms of Traditional, Folk, Classical or contemporary music)
  3. Opera/Classical (All Western Classical music styles)
  4. American Roots (Country, Folk, Blue Grass, Blues, Gospel, Native American)
  5. Jazz Music (Vocal or instrumental)
  6. Pop/Rock (Instrumental or Vocal Rock, Hard Rock, Metal songs
  7. Hip Hop/R&B/Soul (Vocal Songs or Instrumentals)
  8. Spoken-Word Poetry
  9. Music Video (Across genres: All use of footage must be legally licensed.  No slide show type videos will be accepted)

L: Submittal formats: Digital only

Digital: Please follow the following steps

  • Determine how many songs/videos you want to submit
  • Make associated payment (secured Credit Card or PayPal)
    1. $30 for one song, spoken word piece or video
    2. $50 for two songs, spoken word piece or video
    3. $70 for three songs, spoken word piece or video
  • Upload: Your song content via PSA’s secure submission platform: (LINK)
    • SPECIAL NOTE:  We are only accepting original music and/or video works that have been originated after the date of January 1, 2016.  Any and all other entries will not be accepted and be subject to $10 handling/refund fee per entry.
    • Music Videos requirements:  All use of footage must be legally licensed. No slide show type videos will be accepted.
  • Final Entry Cut-off Date: November 1, 2019. The PSA reserves the right to extend the final deadline.
  • No Mail-in of CD’s or DVD will be accepted. 

M: Song and Video submission guidelines

  1. All songs and videos are to be independently produced and released after the date of January 1, 2016. 
  2. All songs and videos are required to be original works.
  3. Artists are required to own all rights of their submitted Music and/or Videos (and/or provide proof of clearance).
  4. Songs and Videos may be no longer than 10 minutes in length.
  5. Grand Prize winners of each song category, along with the top 10 finalists of that same category, agree to have their songs featured on the Peace Song Awards (PSA) album as designated for this select music category. a.) This is a 1 year, non-exclusive. 1-year agreement begins 1 year from the actual release date of the PSA winner compilation albums. b.) All proceeds from each category album will be distributed as follows:
    1. 50% to ProjectPeaceOnEarth.org (PPOE)
    2. 50% divided equally between each of the 11 category winners (music, spoken-word poem, and music video).

N: How are winners selected?

There are three possible ways to win.

  1. Jury awards: Jury Panel members will shortlist 10 songs per category, 1 spoken word piece, and 1 peace song video category. Within the up to 11 overall categories, the Jury will award a total of 11 grand-prize winners, one per each category.
  2. Popular awards: Popular Public vote will identify 10 songs per category, spoke word piece and 1 peace song video category.  Within the 10 overall categories, Public Voting will select 11 grand prize winners, one per each category.
  3. Social stars: the Facebook most popular song or video. Two category winners:  One song or video with the most overall  “likes” and one song or video with the most overall “reaches.”

O. Important DATES, SELECTION PROCESS, and VOTING ETHICS

November 9, 2018 (8 am PST)… the contest begins.

November 1, 2019 CONTEST ENTRIES CLOSE 5 pm EST. 

November 2, 2019 – December  15, 2019: All song content is organized and placed online for Jury members. (recent clarification update)

December 16, 2019 – December 31th:  Jury panel members, with the aid of Apprentice Jury panel member(s), will deliberate to identify and short-list ten (10) Finalists songs per each category of music, including five (5) peace song videos.

January 1st:  All 10 Finalists from each music category are announced + the five (5) video finalists will be announced throughout all social media, a press release and a webcast.

January 8th –  February 9, 2020:  Public  and Facebook  deliberation continues to determine the ten (10) song winners per each music category, the most “Likes” and “Reaches” Facebook winners and two (2) top peace song videos (one voted on by the Jury, and the other, by the Public).

Facebook Voting -  February 9th, 2020 / 6 pm EST (FB voting closes) 

February  14, 2020, Valentines Day (Updated): All Category Winners are Announced:

Jury Choice: One (1) each per 10 categories, One (1) Spoken Word piece and One (1) for Video
Popular Vote: One (1) each per 10 categories, One (1) Spoken Word piece and One (1) for Video
Social Media:  Two category winners:  One song or video with the most overall  “likes” and one song or video with the most overall “reaches.”

**All Winners will be announced through a social media video, a press release and a possible webcast. Winners will also be contacted by phone and/or email.

-  The 10 Finalist songs, one from each category of music, will ultimately be featured on the Peace Song Awards (PSA) albums (there will be a total of 10 albums, one for each song categories,  10 songs per album).

PSA Jury Members reserve the right to interview select Contestants and Winners.

VOTING ETHICS and IMPORTANT GUIDELINES OF IMPARTIALITY:
1) It is not appropriate nor acceptable for any Finalist (or relationship thereof) to suggest, imply and/or request any level of extra consideration and/or support whatsoever…from any Jury Panel Member or PSA Staff member.
2) Such interactions may be considered as Jury/Voting tampering and/or influence peddling.
3) If any such outreach and/or interaction occurs (via email, phone call, in-person meeting, a message expressed thru another mutual acquaintance) this will be noted and taken under detailed consideration and review.
4) If the during the review process it is concluded that a violation of voting ethics did occur then, the Finalist can be disqualified.
 **5) PUBLIC / SOCIAL MEDIA and FACEBOOK (FB) voting:  Participants may not purchase Likes on or for the FB voting.   This activity IS NOT NOT WITHIN THE INTEGRITY or SPIRIT of voting that we have intended.  Contestants who are suspected of such activities, and or found to be doing so,  risk being eliminated (as a participant) from this part of the PSA contest.

P: Award ceremony

We may hold a formal Awards Ceremony in Los Angeles around the time of Earth Day 2019.  We will, at a minimum deliver an email and/or a video that announces Semi-Finalists, Finalists, and Winners.

R: Finalist and winner compliance

All Finalists and Winners (and/or the parent/legal guardian of a minor Finalist/Winner) agree and grant permission to allow the PSA and/or its named sponsors or affiliates to use their name and/or likeness, band name and/or voice, photo, video interviews and/or performances or other digital images and website hereby referred to as “DATA”, on a perpetual and unlimited worldwide basis, perpetually, irrevocably, and grant a royalty-free right and license to use it at any time, for the purposes of transmitting, broadcasting, telecasting or promoting and/or producing the PSA (and/or future events), award shows and/or related live performance award prizes that are associated with the PSA and/or for sponsor /affiliate advertising and/or acknowledgment. Winners agree to execute a formal release form for such “DATA” if ever so required by PSA, a sponsor, affiliate, and/or broadcasting/webcasting entity.   Any and all prizes won by a minor Winner are to be awarded in the name of the minor’s parent or legal guardian.

S: GPSA award-winning category album

Winners of each song category, along with the top 10 finalists of that same category, agree to have their songs featured on the Peace Song Awards (PSA) album as designated for the select music category.  (The PSA organizers may choose to create multiple albums per submittal categories).

  • This is a 1 year, non-exclusive, agreement. 1-year agreement begins 1 year from the actual release date of the PSA winner compilation albums.
  • All proceeds from each category album will be distributed as follows:

50% to ProjectPeaceOnEarth.org

50% divided equally between each of the 10 song category winners.

T: Guarantee release agreement

Finalists and Winners will be provided with and be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability/Publicity agreement along with additional release form documentation.

U: Possible tax implications

Winners, including the parents/legal guardians of minors, will receive a year-end IRS form 1099, as applicable, which will be filed with the IRS.

V: Disclaimers

All Contestants and Designated Representatives understand and agree to that all of the prizes are awarded on an “As Is” basis and are, as such, without a warranty and disclaimed as follows:

PSA reserves the right to post, at its discretion, on any and all related PSA sites and social media and/or sponsoring entities, the winner’s song, interview, photo and/or recorded performance.

W: Contestant / Submittal guarantees

The Contestant and/or Designated Representative, therefore, guarantees that their submittal (song or video) does not violate the terms of any or all agreements to which they are a party, nor infringe upon other copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual properties or other rights of any person or entity.

X: Hold harmless

Contestants and Designated Representatives agree to hold harmless and indemnify the PSA, its founding partners and any and all people to whom work for GPSA (in any capacity either in a salaried, contracted or on a volunteer position or basis) including and not limited to organizers, Jury panel members, web-development, social media, technology, recording/producing agents, broadcasters/webcasters, sponsors and/or affiliates from any fees, royalties, costs, and/or expenses that might arise from any claim, including third-party claims, lawsuits, damages, or actions that occur during the contest and/or at some future date as it relates to the Contestant and/or Designated Representative contest submission.

If for any reason the PSA identifies and/or encounters insurmountable technical issues due to hacking, viruses/worms, vote spamming, robot entry, fraudulent interventions, theft and/or other to be determined issues which affect the integrity and fairness of the contest, the PSA, at its sole discretion, may elect to cancel, terminate or somehow modify the contest. Is such a case the PSA will make a notification on its website. Any Contestant determined to be involved in such activities will be immediately disqualified and subject to criminal prosecution.

Y: General limitations of liability and release

PSA (and/or its Sponsors, designated Affiliates and/or associated transportation, accommodation and/or delivery entities (electronic, mail system or ground/air transportation or others…all hereto and after known as “AGENTS”) are not responsible for any or all related  technical, computer, website, storage cloud / hardware issues, loss of information/data, criminal malice or force majeure affecting the contest, its contestants, its family members, heirs and/or designated representatives. Therefore, Contestants, family members, heirs, designated representatives agree to forever and into perpetuity hold harmless the PSA (its founders, employees who work in any capacity of a salaried, contracted or on a volunteer employee position or basis, including and not limited to organizers, Jury panel members, web-development, social media, technology, recording/producing agents, broadcasters/webcasters, sponsors and/or affiliates) and its AGENTS free from any fees, royalties, costs, and/or expenses that might arise from any claim, damage, loss, accident, injury, inconvenience, or other abnormality, including that of third-party claims, lawsuits, damages, or actions that occur during the contest and/or at any future date thereafter as it relates to the submission of and/or from a Contestant and/or Designated Representative.

All Finalists and Winners (and/or the parent/legal guardian of a minor Finalist/Winner) agree and grant permission to allow the PSA and/or its named sponsors or affiliates to use their name and/or likeness, band name and/or voice, photo, video interviews and/or performances or other digital images and website hereby referred to as “DATA”, on a perpetual and unlimited worldwide basis, perpetually, irrevocably, and grant a royalty-free right and license to use it at any time, for the purposes of transmitting, broadcasting, telecasting or promoting and/or producing the PSA (and/or future events), award shows and/or related live performance award prizes that are associated with the PSA and/or for sponsor /affiliate advertising and/or acknowledgment. Winners agree to execute a formal release form for such “DATA” if ever so required by PSA, a sponsor, affiliate, and/or broadcasting/webcasting entity.   Any and all prizes won by a minor Winner are to be awarded in the name of the minor’s parent or legal guardian.

S: GPSA award-winning category album

Winners of each song category, along with the top 10 finalists of that same category, agree to have their songs featured on the Peace Song Awards (PSA) album as designated for the select music category.  (The PSA organizers may choose to create multiple albums per submittal categories).

  • This is a 1 year, non-exclusive, agreement. 1-year agreement begins 1 year from the actual release date of the PSA winner compilation albums.
  • All proceeds from each category album will be distributed as follows:

50% to ProjectPeaceOnEarth.org

50% divided equally between each of the 10 song category winners.

T: Guarantee release agreement

Finalists and Winners will be provided with and be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability/Publicity agreement along with additional release form documentation.

U: Possible tax implications

Winners, including the parents/legal guardians of minors, will receive a year-end IRS form 1099, as applicable, which will be filed with the IRS.

X: Hold harmless

Contestants and Designated Representatives agree to hold harmless and indemnify the GPSA, its founding partners and any and all people to whom work for GPSA (in any capacity either in a salaried, contracted or on a volunteer position or basis) including and not limited to organizers, Jury panel members, web-development, social media, technology, recording/producing agents, broadcasters/webcasters, sponsors and/or affiliates from any fees, royalties, costs, and/or expenses that might arise from any claim, including third-party claims, lawsuits, damages, or actions that occur during the contest and/or at some future date as it relates to the Contestant and/or Designated Representative contest submission.

If for any reason the GPSA identifies and/or encounters insurmountable technical issues due to hacking, viruses/worms, vote spamming, robot entry, fraudulent interventions, theft and/or other to be determined issues which affect the integrity and fairness of the contest, the GPSA, at its sole discretion, may elect to cancel, terminate or somehow modify the contest. Is such a case the GPSA will make a notification on its website. Any Contestant determined to be involved in such activities will be immediately disqualified and subject to criminal prosecution.

Y: General limitations of liability and release

A “Designated Representative” is a person who represents the TALENT and has permission submit on behalf of the TALENT or CONTESTANT.

N: How are winners selected?

There are three possible ways to win.

  1. Jury awards: Jury Panel members will short list 10 songs per category and 1 peace song video category. Within the 11 overall categories, the Jury will award a total of 11 grand-prize winners, one per each category.
  2. Popular awards: Popular Public vote will identify 10 songs per category and 1 peace song video category.  Within the 10 overall categories, Public Voting will select 11 grand prize winners, one per each category.
  3. Social stars: Facebook most popular song or video. Two category winners:  One song or video with the most overall  “likes” and one song or video with the most overall “reaches.”

 

O. Important DATES, SELECTION PROCESS and VOTING ETHICS

June 2, 2017 – July 15, 2017: All song content is organized and placed online for Jury members. (recent clarification update)

June 2, 2017 – July 30th:  Jury panel members, with the aid of Apprentice Jury panel member(s), will deliberate to identify and short-list ten (10) Finalists songs per each category of music, including five (5) peace song videos.

July 31th:  All 10 Finalists from each music category are announced + the five (5) video finalists will be announced throughout all social media, a press release and a webcast.

August 8th –  Sept 9, 2017:  Public (August 8 – September 9) and Facebook (August 8 – September  9) deliberation continues to determine the ten (10) song winners per each music category, the most “Likes” and “Reaches” Facebook winners and two (2) top peace song videos (one voted on by the Jury, and the other, by the Public).

Facebook Voting -  August 8th - September 9th (FB voting closes) 

September 21, 2017: All Category Winners are Announced:

Jury Choice: One (1) each per 10 categories and One (1) for Video
Popular Vote: One (1) each per 10 categories and One (1) for Video
Social Media:  Two category winners:  One song or video with the most overall  “likes” and one song or video with the most overall “reaches.”

**All Winners will be announced through a socially media video, a press release and a possible webcast. Winners will also be contacted by phone and/or email.

-  The 10 Finalist songs, one from each category of music, will ultimately be featured on the GPSA albums (there will be a total of 10 albums, one for each song categories,  10 songs per album).

GPSA Jury Members reserve the right to interview select Contestants and Winners.

1) It is not appropriate nor acceptable for any Finalist (or relationship there of) to suggest, imply and/or request any level of extra consideration and/or support whatsoever…from any Jury Panel Member or GPSA Staff member.

  1. Jury awards: Jury Panel members will short list 10 songs per category and 1 peace song video category. Within the 11 overall categories, the Jury will award a total of 11 grand-prize winners, one per each category.
  2. Popular awards: Popular Public vote will identify 10 songs per category and 1 peace song video category.  Within the 10 overall categories, Public Voting will select 11 grand prize winners, one per each category.
  3. Social stars: Facebook most popular song or video. Two category winners:  One song or video with the most overall  “likes” and one song or video with the most overall “reaches.” (updated/modified)

Peter Kater is a 9 time Grammy nominee/multi-platinum selling Pianist/Composer Peter Kater has been leading innovator of contemporary instrumental music for over 3 decades. His music has been heard all over the world from Healing Centers to the Olympics and Carnegie Hall. He’s performed for presidents and dignitaries; scored the music for over 100 TV & Film productions including 11 On & Off-Broadway dramatic plays and is a proud recipient of the Environment Leadership Award from the United Nations.

Hani Naser
A virtuoso percussionist and Oud player. Considered a master in his field.  Hani has performed and recorded with many of the most influential artists of this era including:  Bob DylanCarlos Santana, Nickey Hopkins (Rolling Stones), Jackson BrownBonnie RaittRy Cooder, Jim Keltner (John Lennon’s drummer), Steve MillerDon Henley (Eagles), Hamza El Din, Kazu Matsui, David BrozaLou Reed, David Lindley and many other great musicians.

R: Finalist and winner compliance

All Finalists and Winners (and/or the parent/legal guardian of a minor Finalist/Winner) agree and grant permission to allow the GPSA and/or its named sponsors or affiliates to use their name and/or likeness, band name and/or voice, photo, video interviews and/or performances or other digital images and website hereby referred to as “DATA”, on a perpetual and unlimited worldwide basis, perpetually, irrevocably, and grant a royalty-free right and license to use it at any time, for the purposes of transmitting, broadcasting, telecasting or promoting and/or producing the GPSA (and/or future events), award shows and/or related live performance award prizes that are associated with the GPSA and/or for sponsor /affiliate advertising and/or acknowledgment. Winners agree to execute a formal release form for such “DATA” if ever so required by GPSA, a sponsor, affiliate, and/or broadcasting/webcasting entity.   Any and all prizes won by a minor Winner are to be awarded in the name of the minor’s parent or legal guardian.

S: GPSA award-winning category album

Winners of each song category, along with the top 10 finalists of that same category, agree to have their songs featured on the Global Peace Song Awards (GPSA) album as designated for the select music category.  (The GPSA organizers may choose to create multiple albums per submittal categories).

  • This is a 1 year, non-exclusive, agreement.
  • All proceeds from each category album will be distributed as follows:

50% to ProjectPeaceOnEarth.org

50% divided equally between each of the 10 song category winners.

T: Guarantee release agreement

Finalists and Winners will be provided with and be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability/Publicity agreement along with additional release form documentation.

U: Possible tax implications

Winners, including the parents/legal guardians of minors, will receive a year-end IRS form 1099, as applicable, which will be filed with the IRS.

V: Disclaimers

All Contestants and Designated Representatives understand and agree to that all of the prizes are awarded on an “As Is” basis and are as such without a warranty and disclaimed as follows:

GPSA reserves the right to post, at its discretion, on any and all related GPSA sites and social media and/or sponsoring entities, the winner’s song, interview, photo and/or recorded performance.

W: Contestant / Submittal guarantees

The Contestant and/or Designated Representative therefore guarantees that their submittal (song or video) does not violate the terms of any or all agreements to which they are a party, nor infringe upon other copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual properties or other rights of any person or entity.

X: Hold harmless

Contestants and Designated Representatives agree to hold harmless and indemnify the GPSA, its founding partners and any and all people to whom work for GPSA (in any capacity either in a salaried, contracted or on a volunteer position or basis) including and not limited to organizers, Jury panel members, web-development, social media, technology, recording/producing agents, broadcasters/webcasters, sponsors and/or affiliates from any fees, royalties, costs, and/or expenses that might arise from any claim, including third-party claims, law-suits, damages, or actions that occur during the contest and/or at some future date as it relates to the Contestant and/or Designated Representative contest submission.

If for any reason the GPSA identifies and/or encounters insurmountable technical issues due to hacking, viruses/worms, vote spamming, robot entry, fraudulent interventions, theft and/or other to be determined issues which affect the integrity and fairness of the contest, the GPSA, at its sole discretion, may elect to cancel, terminate or somehow modify the contest. Is such a case the GPSA will make a notification on its website. Any Contestant determined to be involved in such activities will be immediately disqualified and subject to criminal prosecution.

Y: General limitations of liability and release

GPSA (and/or its Sponsors, designated Affiliates and/or associated transportation, accommodation and/or delivery entities (electronic, mail system or ground/air transportation or others…all hereto and after known at “AGENTS”) are not responsible for any or all related  technical, computer, website, storage cloud / hardware issues, loss of information/data, criminal malice or force majeure effecting the contest, its contestants, its family members, heirs and/or designated representatives. Therefore, Contestants, family members, heirs, designated representatives agree to forever and into perpetuity hold harmless the GPSA (its founders, employees who work in any capacity of a salaried, contracted or on a volunteer employee position or basis, including and not limited to organizers, Jury panel members, web-development, social media, technology, recording/producing agents, broadcasters/webcasters, sponsors and/or affiliates) and its AGENTS free from any fees, royalties, costs, and/or expenses that might arise from any claim, damage, loss, accident, injury, inconvenience, or other abnormality, including that of third-party claims, law-suits, damages, or actions that occur during the contest and/or at any future date thereafter as it relates to the submission of and/or from a Contestant and/or Designated Representative.
